ALTA AURA is for people who want something more personal than off-the-rack and more lasting than a trend. Your piece isn't plucked off a shelf. It's built over two private sessions around your proportions, your style, and the way you carry yourself.

Two we spend together, wherever you are, and one I carry out by hand in between.

I get to know you, your style, and what you have in mind. Then I measure your head.
Act Two
Craftsmanship
I source the felt and build your hat by hand- blocked, pounced, ironed, sweatband sewn in.

Signature Styling
Together we shape your hat and add the finishing touches.
Act One
Design Discovery
We begin with you.
Before a single material is chosen, we sit down together- about an hour, wherever you like, so I can understand your style, your story, and what you want this piece to represent. We talk through the colors and materials, where this hat will live in your life, and how you want to feel when you wear it. I take your measurements, and together we set the creative direction for everything that follows.
Act Two
Craftsmanship
I prepare your canvas.
With the direction set, I source your materials and shape your hat by hand from a raw fur-felt body.
Your piece reaches our next session as an open canvas: an uncut crown and a flat brim, left unshaped on purpose, so we can bring it to life together.
Act Three
Signature Styling
Refine until it becomes yours.
Starting from that blank, we cut and shape the crown and brim in real time, trying silhouettes and adjusting proportions until it suits you. Then come the adornments I curated for you- hatbands, feathers, pins. We add and adjust until it's right.

A few things you should know.
Most commissions take two to four weeks from our first session to the finished piece, so if you have a date in mind, it is worth starting early. Both sessions happen at a location of your choosing- I come to you. You will never be handed something you didn’t help create; your approval shapes every stage.
